Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario

The CMRAO is the regulatory body that sets standards and enforces the mandatory licensing of condominium managers and condominium management provider businesses.

Criteria

Learning Description:

The earner has gained relevant aspects of financial management. It is one of the core foundational courses to ensure that condominium managers have the technical context for the main responsibilities of their role.

This micro-credential is delivered over 10 weeks. It combines self-directed and instructor-led learning.

Key competencies include:

  • A background knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles and methods
  • Knowledge of the tools and reference materials to locate and understand more detailed information in situations where they need it
  • An understanding of the financial roles and responsibilities when managing condominiums
  • The skills and behaviours to support and communicate the end-to-end annual budgeting and audit process
  • The skills and behaviours to interpret and present monthly financial statements

**Learning Assessment: ** Earners have completed a series of case studies designed to test application of knowledge in key scenarios. A final test also assesses overall knowledge and understanding of theoretical principles.

Humber assessors will hold a Condominium Management License and be pre-approved by CMRAO.
