This badge is awarded to participants in the Micro-Teaching / Lesson Design sessions for improving their teaching practices by developing, delivering and reflecting upon a micro-teaching lesson.

Criteria

The recipient has demonstrated the ability to:

  1. design, develop and deliver a micro-teaching lesson of approximately 15 minutes in length
  2. apply a lesson planning model that incorporates active learning and formative assessment
  3. employ an educational technology tool to promote participatory learning or gather formative feedback by submitting the following evidence:

  1. a) a micro-teaching presentation created and presented during the sessions, and
    b) a short reflection examining:

  1. i) strategies and tools for structuring lessons that promote deeper learning and
    ii) the incorporation of peer feedback into their teaching practice.
