Criteria
The program is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and skills that relate directly to rural municipal jobs. The badge recipient developed insights into the organizational structure of municipal government and how the various components work together. They developed a solid understanding of the Municipal Act and the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA). Using this knowledge, the participant demonstrated their ability to resolve commonly-encountered questions/issues raised by taxpayers. The recipient also developed insights into the culture of municipal government offices, and examined how work gets done effectively within this environment.
