Criteria
This microcredential represents a part of our Core Success Skills set of offerings where learners have the opportunity to develop or practice transferable skills essential to the workforce. These microcredentials have been developed and openly licensed by ED Design labs under the name 21st Century skills. At Ontario Tech we have opted to assess sub-competency components and provide students with the ability to develop their own educational pathways and skills groups.
Learners who elect to take the microcredential "Question Assumptions" are individuals resist easy answers; probing more deeply; and improving the problem-solving process.
The learner who received this badge has demonstrated that they are able to question assumptions through their ability to:
-Identify assumptions embedded in statements -Identify unstated assumptions in speech, op ed, or blog post -Explaining approach to determining if assumptions are true "
Learner may have participated in stand alone programming or this work may have been assessed as part of a degree program.
