Importing and Exporting Cannabis
Criteria
The recipient of this badge successfully completed an intensive two-day course (attended either in-class or synchronously online) on importing and exporting cannabis in Canada. Through the course, the badge recipient developed familiarity with international drug conventions and treaties associated with legislation relating to cannabis in Canada. In addition, the student established an understanding of medical cannabis legalization in the global market, examined the import and export procedures and requirements, as well as forecasts and analyses for the global cannabis market. Along with this, participants reviewed and discussed business case studies for importing and exporting cannabis - the global market; Canada's international presence, strategies for Licensed Producers in the global market, how importing and exporting hemp differs from cannabis, and the global cannabis employment market.
